Upon arrival in the Kyrgyz Republic, all foreign citizens and stateless persons, except those from countries listed in the official Exemption List (List of foreign states and periods of exemption from registration in the authorized state bodies or hotels), are required to register at their place of residence within 5 working days of entering the country.

Upon approval, students will receive a “Student Visa” valid for a period of up to 1 academic year, with the possibility of annual renewal for a total duration not exceeding 5 years or the official length of their academic program.
Documents Required for Visa Application:
Visa and registration fees must be paid through an official representative.
Processing fees for visa extensions are determined by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, calculated in Kyrgyz soms, and may vary depending on the time of payment and the applicant’s country of origin. You can view current pricing and application options here: https://www.e.visa.e-gov.kg/
IMPORTANT:
KNAU does not assist in extending visas for students who have graduated, those who are on academic leave, or those who have been expelled from the university.
