“Strengthening Higher Education in the Water Sector for Climate Resilience and Security in Central Asia” (2023–2026)
The Erasmus+ HWCA project aims to create the necessary conditions for training a new generation of professionals and decision-makers in Central Asia’s water sector, including water managers and diplomats. These specialists will be equipped to address existing issues and respond to emerging challenges such as climate change and water scarcity. The project also seeks to enhance capacities for promoting and implementing Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and adaptive water management, strengthen regional cooperation, and improve the mobilization and utilization of private investment and international aid.
As part of the project, experts will work on updating and integrating innovative elements into existing curricula or developing new, innovative Master’s degree programs (MA/MSc), based on advanced European experience and adapted to regional conditions.
