Minister Visits Kyrgyz National Agrarian University to Review Scientific and Educational Capacity

On 26 January 2026, Gulzat Tynybekovna Isamatova, Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic, paid a working visit to the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K. I. Skryabin, where she familiarized herself with the university’s teaching and research laboratories.

During the visit, the Rector of the University, Academician Rysbek Zaryldykovich Nurgaziev, provided a detailed overview of the institution’s educational, scientific, and production activities aimed at ensuring the country’s food security.

Special attention was given to the “In vitro” teaching and research laboratory, which applies microclonal propagation techniques to produce disease-free, varietal, and certified seedlings and seeds that are of particular importance to the agricultural sector. This method enhances plant quality and contributes to the sustainability of agricultural production. The laboratory has the capacity to fully supply farmers nationwide with renewed, high-yielding, and disease-free planting material.

As a result, the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K. I. Skryabin is making a significant contribution to strengthening the country’s food and biological security.

Minister Isamatova also visited the Agrochemistry Teaching and Research Laboratory, the MTZ tractor training laboratory, classrooms for the State and Russian languages, classrooms named after Chingiz Aitmatov and G. A. Balyan, the Startup Center, the university museum, and reviewed the educational process, key areas of scientific research, and the university’s human resource potential. She gave high praise to the university’s overall performance.

The working visit was conducted within the framework of state policy aimed at developing science and higher education, supporting innovative projects, and strengthening food security in the agricultural sector.
